    what REVIEWERS are saying...

After reading THE GREEK'S CHRISTMAS BABY, I am convinced that Lucy Monroe cannot write a bad book. I suggest having a box of Kleenex nearby during some of the most pivotal scenes and an ice cold beverage of your choice for the love scenes. I also recommend not reading this if you have to go to work the next day, otherwise you just may go to work bleary eyed. This book is a definite must read this holiday season. - Barb Hicks, The Best Reviews

    what READERS are saying...

"Lucy, I picked up 'The Greeks Christmas Baby' yesterday and I read it in one sitting. For the first time ever I actually cried while reading a book. There were so many moments where I had to stop reading and take a big deep breath because I could feel the emotions that Eden was going through. My phone rang just as Kassandra was being confronted & fired and I just let my machine pick it up. I didn't want to put this book down for a second." ~ Chantal

"Just read The Greeks' Christmas Baby. Yes I liked it. Of Course. However, you made me face something in your story about myself. I didn't like it. When faced with Kassandra's warped and evil machinations, Eden's situation struck me to the heart. I felt my stomache drop to my feet and thought, How do you fight that?" My first reaction, what I felt as what "I" would do, did not make me out to be a strong person. I felt like I would have been so crushed as to not be able to see my way to make a stand. I wanted her to run, and take her child, born and unborn, and find true happiness, somewhere and with someone else. Of course that's NOT love. Love gives you strength to hold on. To fight. And Eden's weapon was to be herself. To Give selflessly. To keep trying. Live her love. Such is faith. Depression is insidious. It warps reaction. And decisions. That , I can see most clearly now. Your story showcased my failing. But I can recognize this. So, yes, although I wasn't happy with ME, I was inspired by how you depicted Eden. Her choices. Her truth. You didn't have or let her give up. That was RIGHT. And a spotlight on how I should view life's challenges. No good comes from running or hiding. No closure, no hope, no true future and in it , happiness. For those insights and other gifts within the story that you told, I thank you. Yes, I'm one of those that can say "I couldn't put it down" and that "I had read it in one day." However, from my vantage point, The Greek's Christmas Baby wasn't just a romance story. But an affirmation of strength and hope that true love provides and the mountains you can leap because of it. Thank you." ~ Michele

"Hello Mrs Monroe, I just wanted to write and tell you that I read your Harlequin Presents book, "The Greeks Christmas Baby," and I loved it. I started it in the afternoon and just could not put it down until I finished it later that night. I was brought into the book, whenever he, Aristide, said something not so nice to her, Eden, I felt let down too. I love when a book or story can bring emotions out like that. I'll look forward to your next Harlequin. " ~ Sheena

"Dear Ms. Monroe - I've never written an author before, but after I finished your book I noticed the e-mail address. I just want to say how much I enjoyed the book! The kids are in bed, the husband is off playing hockey, and to be able to sit down and spend a few hours by myself totally absorbed in your marvelous writing was a wonderful treat. The dialogue was particularly intriguing, I enjoyed it immensely. But the best part was losing myself for a few hours into a different place, as only a really good book can make a reader do! Thanks again for writing such an enjoyable book, and I look forward to others by you!" ~ Happy Holidays, Ann C

"You made me get tissues as I read Eden and Aristide's story. I loved their journey to get their HEA. It was nice reading a second chance at love with a married couple." ~ Ann M

"I read The Greek's Christmas Baby now I just have to sit down and write a review - it was very emotional, which I love. These days I find a lot of stories are more about the physical, which I don't mind at all, but it usually means the story isn't as emotional and I don't connect as well to it. Your books are a blend of both, and that's why I love them so much!" ~ Stacy

"Lucy, I firmly believe that emotion is what sets your books apart from many other authors' -- both the heroine and the hero. "The Greek's Christmas Baby" certainly proves that. If we were to take out the hero's emotions he would come across as an arrogant.... Instead we read about a hero who is trying to understand what is going on around him and put together the "puzzle" that is his wife." ~ Lidia

"I finished reading this yesteday and what can I say? Fabulous! I really got into Eden's emotions -- over her worry over Aristide and her unborn baby. He was a jerk at times, but once he realized who was, he made up for it at the end. What a love story for the holidays. Thanks, Lucy!" ~ Patti

"Emotional...Yeah, thats a good word to describe how I felt! I just finished reading The Greek's Christmas Baby. Gosh!! you had me on an emotional rollercoaster! And I mean this as a good thing. I haughed, I cried, I sighed. That was a great book. You did it again." ~ Hugs, Niny

"OMG...you SO rock!! I just finished The Greek's Christmas Baby and I absolutely LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!!! Thanks SO much for the VERY enjoyable read!" ~ Cindy

"I couldn't put it down once I started and I honestly I felt Eden's pain. Lucy, you've created yet another wonderful story which touched my heart." ~ Marilyn

"Just finished reading 'The Greek's Christmas Baby'. Loved it." ~ Jeri

"Lucy, I finished your December Harlequin Presents last night and I have to hand it to you. You sure know how to frustrate the holy heck out of me...but loved how you worked out the conflicts between both hero and heroine to arrive at the happy ending!!!" ~ Joni
